Christ­massy Bayreuth

Not only the longest string of lights in Fran­conia, with a length of 7 km, let down­town Bayreuth gleam with bright light — also the retail stores in the pede­strian zone provide festively deco­rated Christmas trees in front of each and every store, even in the small side streets a Christ­massy mood is guaran­teed. The high­light in midst all the bright lights is the Bayreuth Christmas market from November 25th to December 23rd. With its round about 50 stands it invites you also this year for a stroll, to shop and to enjoy the dream­like romantic atmosphere.

While the aroma of mulled wine and cookies pervades the market, there are chan­ging events on the stage. From music to cookie sales, to photo shoots with the Christ­kind and Santa Claus, ever­y­thing your heart desires is included.
During advent Bayreuth offers many more happe­nings. In the brochure “Christ­massy Bayreuth” is an event calendar for the Christmas time. Between fairs and concerts, there is also a night watchman tour through the historic old town of Bayreuth, the program for the late night shop­ping night on Dec. 7th, as well as infor­ma­tion about small district markets like the “Stern­markt” in St. Georgen on December 1st.
